Genesis 18:20-21 “And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.”
The created Angels left Abraham and Jehovah. Jehovah stayed with Abraham to tell Abraham what was about to happen.
Jehovah does not punish the sinner in their time, but he does it in his time. He gives people the chance to repent as individuals. Jehovah loves the sinner and wants them to love him. There comes a time when punishment for sin sends a message. Listen.
Jehovah gave Abraham the opportunity to learn the ways of God. Abraham prays to Jehovah to spare 50, 45, 40, 30, or 10 righteous people in the city. Jehovah’s message is that he will spare the righteous. But not the unrighteous.
The Angels of Jehovah arrive at Sodom.
